Members of our team performed condition monitoring on the Dorado Field off of Marlin TLP in the gulf of Mexico and identified signs of impending failure of a Subsea power line feeding the field which was a daisy chained development and carried high risks for hydrates. The early indication of the impending failure gave the operator 9 months to plan and optimize the intervention which permitted the use of vessels that had white space instead of using emergency vessels. There was a an attributed value of roughly 4 million dollars in savings credited to the early detection.
